Short-term residential care is for those whose recovery is complicated by continuing physical and/or emotional issues that need stabilization. Often times a patient’s potential to relapse into harmful use of substances despite their high level of motivation is heightened due to the lack of a strong support system, inadequate living arrangements, broken relationships, or a combination of external stressors that serve to complicate recovery.
Patients may be directly admitted to or transferred to the short-term residential program from any level of care in our continuum. The services are provided in the same facility as our residential detoxification program and the same nursing, physician, and counseling staff facilitate care. This allows for continuity of care for those patients who no longer need detoxification services, but could greatly benefit from a drug rehab program through a continued stay (5 to 10 days) in a supportive residential setting.
