Mental and Behavioral Health Resources

Mental health conditions are more common than you might think. Did you know that every year 1 in five 5 adults in the United States experiences a mental health condition, and 1 in 25 adults lives with a serious mental illness such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder.

Children are not immune. Half of all mental conditions begin by age 14, and 75% by age 24.

The good news is… these conditions are treatable disorders of the brain. Even individuals with serious mental illness have a real chance at reclaiming full, productive lives if they have access to the proper treatment, services and programs.

Pine Rest believes education is key in helping to break down the barriers of stigma preventing so many from seeking help for their mental and behavioral health conditions. We have many education resources available here and continue to create more, including a growing list of publications, social media, an ongoing blog and a video library on behavioral health topics.
