Why I chose Pine Rest: People and location. My interview at Pine Rest was the most comfortable by far. I felt as if I was speaking with friends and everyone was supportive. I also wanted to come back to Michigan and Grand Rapids was the perfect combination of a small city with close outdoor activities.
Other interests: Exploring Grand Rapids breweries with my co-residents and friends, GR rec sports, camping, reading non-medical books!
Professional or Clinical Interests: I would love to work in the field of Hospice and Palliative Care Psychiatry, treating mental illness in communities with terminal or chronic debilitating disease, to help heal the spirit of patients and their families in the most difficult times.
