Residential Services

Adolescent Residential Short Term

adolescent residential short term

Maple Lodge

Adolescents in our care typically have faced abuse and neglect and are referred through the home county’s Department of Health and Human Services or Community Mental Health. Services are for adolescents aged 11-18 who have a psychiatric diagnosis and struggle with significant behavioral issues. Staff is trained to provide therapeutic treatment in a structured environment to develop positive coping skills and help with past trauma and psychiatric issues.

Maple Lodge staff are trained to work with each resident to provide treatment, teach skills, and promote safety according to their needs. There is an accredited school on site and daily programming with independent living skills as the foundation, along with group therapy and weekly individual therapy. Each resident is an individual with individual needs. The treatment is unique to each person. Common treatment models are: Trauma Informed Care, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Strength-Based Models. There is a strong emphasis on teaching coping skills, anger management techniques and independent living skills. Many of our therapists, supervisors and nurses are Certified Trauma Specialists.

Maple Lodge subscribes to the D.R.I.V.E.™ Challenge acronym and philosophy, teaching Discipline, Respect, Integrity, Vision and Excellence. The D.R.I.V.E.™ Challenge mission: “We believe that all youth, when given knowledge and training in the areas of D.R.I.V.E.™, will be visionaries and succeed in setting and achieving short and long-term goals for life long success.” This is the foundation for the D.R.I.V.E. to Success program, which is a secure and open program implemented within the residential facility.
