Pine Rest Grand Rounds is a behavioral health medical education tool being used to deliver high quality training to physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, licensed professional counselors, psychologists and social workers. The presentations will present practitioners with state of the art, best practice or evidence based tools to improve the delivery of behavioral treatment within our communities.

In this Grand Rounds, Dr. Barbara Thompson will describe how her laboratory utilizes translational research approaches to investigate social and emotional neurodevelopment in young children. She will present how we explore functional disruptions in behavior and our attempts to elucidate the underlying neural changes responsible for these disruptions by utilizing a combination of techniques in both basic science and clinical research.
