Pine Rest Grand Rounds is a behavioral health medical education tool being used to deliver high quality training to physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, licensed professional counselors, psychologists and social workers. The presentations will present practitioners with state of the art, best practice or evidence based tools to improve the delivery of behavioral treatment within our communities.

    Practicing Ethically in a Virtual Space: Critical Challenges (Live-Stream Event)

    Ethics are more than guiding principles; they are foundations for practice. This training will provide an overview of the Code of Ethics which govern the practice of social workers, counselors, and psychologists. Participants will explore the many slippery slopes in boundaries and dual roles, social engagement, use of media, confidentiality, etc.  A model to guide decision making will be explored.

    It's a Win! Addressing Stress and Vicarious Trauma

    Vicarious trauma is an ongoing risk for mental health professionals. Managing stress and prioritizing wellness has the potential to improve personal wellbeing and improve outcomes for clients and organizations. In this session participants will gain an increased understanding of the biology of stress with a focus on proactive and reactive opportunities for wellness.
