Pine Rest Welcomes Six Psychiatrists To Its Outpatient & Inpatient Services

Pine Rest is pleased to announce the hiring of six psychiatrists to provide care in its outpatient clinics and inpatient hospital:  Obo Addy, M.D.; Jonathon Dozeman, D.O.; Sonia Motin, M.D.; Swapnil Rath, M.D.; Jeffrey Stearns, M.D.; and Michael Walsh, M.D.

Obo Addy, M.D., is a psychiatrist with many years of experience in the Grand Rapids community. He trained at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, N.C., in psychiatry and completed a fellowship in consult liaison psychiatry at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Mich., and a sleep disorders fellowship at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, Ohio. He will be serving hospitalized patients on the Pine Rest campus.

Jonathon Dozeman, D.O., completed his psychiatry residency from the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa. He will work in Pine Rest’s Community and Residential Services and Behavioral Health Solutions.

Sonia Motin, M.D., completed her psychiatry residency at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine, Kalamazoo, Mich. She will work with adults in the inpatient hospital.

Swapnil Rath, M.D., completed his fellowship in geriatric psychiatry from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Mich., and his general psychiatry residency from Saint Mary’s Mercy Hospital, Livonia, Mich. He will work with older adults in the inpatient hospital.

Jeffrey Stearns, M.D. received his child and adolescent fellowship and his general psychiatry residency from the University of Michigan Health System, Ann Arbor, Mich. He will work in the Pine Rest Campus and Southwest clinics.

Michael Walsh, M.D., completed his psychiatry residency at the University of South Dakota, Sioux Falls, S.D., as chief resident. He also holds a master’s degree in Christian formation and soul care from Denver Seminary, Littleton, Colo. He is working in the Pine Rest Pella Clinic in Iowa.

These clinicians are part of a team that provides comprehensive care for persons who experience behavioral health issues. They will be involved in the continuum of care offered at Pine Rest in the inpatient hospital, an outpatient clinic, or partial hospitalization services.
