Pine Rest Traverse City Clinic Expands Its Psychiatric Services

Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services’ Traverse City Clinic increased its services recently. Having two new psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners will expand its ability to respond to the growing mental health crisis.

Laurie Anger, MSN, NP, PMHNP-BC, is a nurse with more than 30 years of experience. She pursued a master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Women University and worked in therapy practice for more than 20 years. She has a sub specialty in families that are impacted by chronic disease conditions and terminal illness. She went on to complete her Master in Nursing from University of Missouri at Columbia and is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Currently she is doing medication management of ages 12 to 112. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Michigan Psychiatric Nurses Association.

Faith Huyck, PMHNP-BC, is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She has worked with Pine Rest since 2007, first as a medical coder in the health information management department and then as a registered nurse in the hospital and adult and mother/baby partial hospitalization programs. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Valley State University and Master of Science in Nursing from Saint Louis University.
