Outpatient Occupational Therapy

Helping Kids Build Skills for Everyday Life

Our Pediatric Occupational Therapy program is designed to help children build the skills they need for confidence and independence at home, in school and in the community. Whether your child is struggling with motor coordination, sensory processing, emotional regulation or everyday routines like dressing and feeding, our team is here to guide them—and you—every step of the way.

Through individualized, play-based sessions, we focus on turning challenges into opportunities for growth. Our therapists work one-on-one with each child, tailoring activities to their unique strengths and needs while partnering closely with families to ensure progress continues beyond the clinic. From fine motor skills and handwriting to social participation and self-care, we help children develop practical abilities that make life easier and more enjoyable.

We strive to provide a supportive environment where your child feels understood, encouraged and empowered to reach their fullest potential. If you’re wondering whether occupational therapy could help your child, we’re here to answer your questions and provide the guidance you need to take the next step.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is a typical session?
  • Evaluations: 1–1.5 hours
  • Treatment sessions: 60 minutes
  • Frequency varies by need—twice weekly, weekly, every other week, or monthly—and may change over time based on progress, scheduling, and life events. Ongoing communication with your therapist helps right-size frequency.

Consider an OT screening or evaluation if your child has difficulties with:

  • Using hands, scissors or writing tools
  • Buttoning, zipping or dressing
  • Staying focused or transitioning between activities
  • Tolerating textures, sounds or movement
  • Feeding skills or picky eating
  • Hand–eye coordination and body awareness
  • Balance or overall coordination
  • Managing emotions or sensory needs

Sensory processing is how the brain receives and interprets information from the senses. If signals are over- or under-responsive, a child may struggle with focus, behavior, eating, motor skills, or daily routines. OT helps improve regulation and participation.

Coverage varies by plan and diagnosis. Please contact your insurance company to verify benefits, required documentation, and approved visit frequency. Our team can help you navigate benefits and options.

We believe families are essential partners. We involve parents and caregivers in goal-setting, treatment planning and carryover activities—so therapy is meaningful, consistent and tailored to your child’s needs.
