Designed for children and teens ages 12-21, our outpatient program at the Pediatric Center of Behavioral Health provides evidence-based, family-inclusive treatment tailored to the unique needs of kids and teens—delivered by specialists who understand the medical, nutritional and emotional complexity of eating disorders.

- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy – Enhanced (CBT-E)
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT)
- Emotionally Focused Family Therapy
- Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)
- Family-Based Treatment-informed approach (FBT)
How We Partner with Families
We value and invite family participation at every step of treatment, because parent/caregiver involvement is key to successful recovery for young people:
- Parents/caregivers may be invited into sessions or have their own dedicated sessions to build skills and confidence.
- We provide guidance on meal support, routines, limit-setting, and responding to distress in recovery-supportive ways.
- We collaborate on safety and relapse-prevention plans and help align home expectations with treatment goals.

Families receive pediatric outpatient eating disorder care at the Treetops Pediatric Clinic within Pine Rest’s Pediatric Center of Behavioral Health. Services may be available at additional locations within the Pine Rest network; please call if interested.
