Today, more and more kids are dealing with the pain and hopelessness of mental health issues, eating disorders and substance use. Families are struggling to find the care their children urgently need. That’s why we’re opening a new pediatric behavioral health center – the first of its kind in Michigan – so that all kids can have the best childhood possible.
But we can’t accomplish this massive project alone. Your donation will support our Long Live Childhood campaign and help get kids of all ages back to being kids.
The time has never been better. Because the need has never been greater.
Our center will create new services:
It will also expand existing services:
SERVING 800 MORE

• 66 Inpatient beds
• Specialty programming includes a dedicated Neurodevelopmental Disorders Unit
SERVING 10,000 MORE
KIDS EACH YEAR
Supporting kids with…
• Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Eating Disorders
• Substance Use Disorders
SERVING 7,500+ KIDS EACH YEAR
• Same-day psychiatric assessments for 7,500 each year
• Telepsychiatry to reach more kids in rural areas
The Pine Rest Pediatric Center of Behavioral Health will be located on our 220-acre park-like campus. The 136,000 square foot facility will improve access to care and impact families statewide both today and for generations to come through a continuum of services.
Our center will create a seamless continuum of care between services offered by Corewell Health Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital and the Pine Rest Pediatric Center of Behavioral Health.
We will also be partnering with hospital systems, pediatricians, schools, families, and tribes all over Michigan—bringing our
state closer to a vision of comprehensive care for our kids.
By creating new services not available anywhere in Michigan and expanding services that are currently in short supply, this collaborative project will help thousands of kids.
