Price Estimates & Standard Charges

Our price transparency commitment means no more billing surprises for patients

We realize that an unanticipated health care bill can have long-term negative impacts on patients and their families. That’s why we are committed to price transparency and providing patients and their families with the tools they deserve to make informed choices about their care plan prior to treatment.

What does the No Surprises Act mean?

Under the No Surprises Act, all in-network health care providers, including Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services, must notify up front and in advance those patients who are commercially insured by out-of-network plans with a disclosure of any and all out-of-network charges the patient will could be responsible for following treatment.

Your Rights and Protections Against Surprise Medical Bills

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost

Price Transparency – Standard Charges

Standard charges utilized by Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services are published here to meet a recent CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) requirement. Please note that “Standard Charges” are the list price or the charge amount for our hospital services. “Standard Charges” DO NOT REPRESENT YOUR ESTIMATED OUT-OF-POCKET COST.

Based on your insurance coverage, you are billed your deductible, copay, coinsurance and any non-covered services. The amount you will pay cannot be calculated from a list of standard charges. Patients with no insurance coverage are generally eligible for a discount off the standard charges.

For information on your actual out-of-pocket costs for your inpatient or partial hospitalization visit, please contact:

These standard charges are those in effect as of October 4, 2023.

CMS requires the standard charges information to be made available to the public via the internet in “machine-readable” format. A machine-readable format is one that can be automatically read and processed by a computer, such as CSV, XML, etc.

The Standard Charges documents are provided as downloadable .csv files below. The files were last updated December 11, 2023.
