Mindfulness can improve our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health and help you be more resilient during stressful times. Don’t worry, you don’t need to do formal mediation to reap the benefits. Many routine activities lend themselves to practicing mindfulness.
If you’re always putting others first, you risk turning your life into a never-ending, energy-draining “To Do” list. Practicing self-love, self-care and self-compassion might not come easy, but it can help restore your joy and energy.
How do we HALT self-destructive behaviors? By learning to take care of ourselves. The HALT acronym can remind us to slow down and routinely monitor and take care of four aspects of our lives – Hunger/Hurt, Anger, Loneliness, Tiredness.
