Pine Rest is pleased to announce four leaders will begin key nursing administration roles within the organization’s Hospital and Residential Services this month.
Joe Karb, MSN, RN joins Pine Rest as director of nursing for Hospital and Residential Services on Monday, November 8, 2021. He comes to Pine Rest with over 16 years of nursing leadership experience, most recently with Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital in Windsor, Ontario where he served as a nurse leader within the hospital’s mental health and substance use services.
Lori Anne Huegel, DNP, MSN, RN will transition from her current role as Pine Rest’s director of nursing for Hospital and Residential Services to a new position as director of patient access. In this role, Dr. Huegel will seek to develop processes to improve patient flow and provide a better patient experience for those seeking admission for care at Pine Rest.
Agnes Siebert, MA, LLP, RN joins Pine Rest’s Hospital and Residential Services leadership team as clinical services manager of nursing operations, a role that oversees employee scheduling, the nursing admissions team, and the nursing supervisor team. Agnes previously managed the behavioral health unit at Spectrum Health Lakeland in St. Joseph, MI.
Scott Van Dusen, MSN, RN has accepted the role of clinical services manager of patient access. In partnership with Dr. Huegel, Pine Rest’s new director of patient access, Scott will manage the organization’s Psychiatric Urgent Care Center as well as the Contact Center, which specializes in processing referrals, making assessments, and placing individuals for care within Pine Rest’s continuum of services. Prior to this role, Scott served as manager of Pine Rest’s Cypress inpatient unit.
