Retreat Detox Unit Renovations Celebrated with Ribbon Cutting

The In keeping with COVID-19 protocols, a small group of individuals gathered on March 2, 2021, to hold a ribbon cutting ceremony in celebration of a new location for the Retreat Detox Program following completion of renovations and upgrades. .

The Retreat Detox Program move will unite group/programming and clinical space with the living space utilized by program participants. The new site also features increased patient living space, allowing the program to now serve 14 individuals instead of 12.

Pine Rest’s expansion of recovery services with the Retreat programs comes amidst extremely high demand for substance use treatment in the local area, the state, and the nation. For several years, Pine Rest has served an increasing number of individuals seeking substance use care. This rising crisis, as has been widely reported, has only been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic as individuals seek to cope, often unhealthily, with the uncertainty, anxiety, depression, and isolation the virus has caused.
