We are pleased to announce our most recent winner of the DAISY Award for Nursing, Jessie VanZeelt!
Jessie, a dedicated nurse on Pine Rest’s Aspen Unit, has touched the lives of many patients with her extraordinary compassion. One patient who nominated her shared, “She is an absolute angel among us! The amount of compassion, kindness and respect that she shows everyone, I have never experienced before … Her light, her smile and her spirit are wonderful things to experience when being in such a dark place. I will never forget her or the care she gave me. Thank you, Jessie!”
Another patient shared, “She was super supportive and caring when I was having a “bad day”. She pulled me aside to talk one to one to calm me down. She is a nurse who is caring, goes above and beyond and is good at what she does.”
A third patient echoed these sentiments, saying, “Jessie is super kind and friendly, like all the nurses here. She’s willing to help with anything, even if it’s outside her duties. She always has a smile and an ear to listen. She deserves this award because of her above and beyond compassion and attentiveness to her patients.”
We are incredibly grateful for nurses like Jessie who consistently go above and beyond to provide outstanding patient care here at Pine Rest!
