Psychiatric Urgent Care Center Named ‘Hospital/HMO of the Year’ by NAMI Michigan

Entrance to the Van Andel Center on the Pine Rest CampusThe Pine Rest Psychiatric Urgent Care Center has been named ‘Hospital/HMO of the Year’ by NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Michigan.

The award was presented at the 2021 NAMI Michigan Honors awards ceremony on August 7 at The H Hotel in Midland, Michigan. Harmony Gould, Vice president of Pine Rest Hospital & Residential Services, accepted on behalf of the Psychiatric Urgent Care team.

The Urgent Care Center was nominated for being the first of its kind upon opening in Spring 2019 to provide immediate assessments for those with acute psychiatric symptoms unable to wait for a routine outpatient intervention. In 2020, the Center also added virtual assessments in order to serve as many Michiganders as possible.
