Dr. Gretchen Johnson, DNP, RN-BC, has recently been promoted as Pine Rest’s new Chief Nurse Executive. Dr. Johnson brings a wealth of nursing and leadership experience that will be invaluable as she oversees nursing practice at Pine Rest.
During her 20-year tenure, Dr. Johnson has worked in various roles at Pine Rest, from direct patient care provider to Director of Nursing, serving behavioral health units at other Michigan acute care hospitals for our Behavioral Health Solutions team. She also helped develop and launch our unique Mother and Baby Program in 2012 and, most recently, served as our Director of Education.
Dr. Johnson’s commitment and enthusiasm for psychiatric nursing, professional development and education make her a top quality fit to help develop strategic and operational plans that will continue to increase behavioral health access in our community and provide world class care. Her new role is effective July 1, 2020,
