Pine Rest and its President & CEO Mark Eastburg Recognized for ‘Top 200 Most Influential Leaders’ for 2023

Crain’s Grand Rapids Business has named Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services and its President and CEO, Dr. Mark Eastburg, one of the Top 200 Most Influential Leaders in West Michigan for 2023.

The West-Michigan business news publication, along with its Detroit-based central hub, publish the list annually. Identifying leaders across the lower half of Michigan in several categories, Crain’s aims to spotlight the people and organizations who are making the biggest impact across our state. 

Citing the many ways Pine Rest is leading the field of behavioral health through innovative models of care, research, and collaboration, Crain’s Grand Rapids Business named Dr. Eastburg among the “Most Influential People in Healthcare” and, along with it, identified Pine Rest among the “Most Influential Entities in Healthcare.”

Dr. Eastburg has been with Pine Rest since 1991, and has dedicated his career to helping expand behavioral healthcare and psychiatric access in Michigan through endeavors such as the Pine Rest / MSU Psychiatry Residency & Fellowships program, Telehealth, Psychiatric Urgent Care Center, and implementation of the Epic electronic health record. Dr. Eastburg is now leading efforts to build the state’s first-ever dedicated Pediatric Behavioral Health Center.
