4/22/21 – Pine Rest will participate in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 24, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. During this effort, led by the United States Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), individuals may bring in prescription drugs or medication of any type to be disposed of safely and securely, no questions asked.
Pine Rest is partnering with Spectrum Health, Priority Health and Families Against Narcotics to offer two Grand Rapids collection locations this year:
– Spectrum Health South Pavilion at 80 68th St SE next to the Pine Rest Campus.
– Spectrum Health Healthier Communities (Widdicomb Building) at 665 Seward Ave NW.
The goal of the Drug Take Back effort is to remove excess medications from homes and communities in order to promote safety and eliminate risk of accidental ingestion, theft or drug abuse.
