Our first ever Patient Experience Week took place April 29 – May 3, 2024, and was a great success! Established by the Beryl Institute, Patient Experience Week encourages healthcare staff to acknowledge the vital role that both patients and staff play in shaping care, with the goal of enhancing the overall patient experience.
Highlights of Pine Rest’s Patient Experience Week included personalized notes of encouragement for patients from all members of their treatment team, a cookie giveaway, and group discussions that focused on ideas to enhance the overall patient experience. Shortening the admission process, expanding food choices, adding bus stop access on campus and establishing pet therapy programs are just a few of the changes we’ve implemented in recent years with patient input!
By actively listening to our patients and incorporating their feedback–during Patient Experience Week and throughout the entire year–we at Pine Rest can implement meaningful changes to help enhance the patient journey!
