Dempsey Willett – Psych Tech of the Year
In recognition of psych techs who go above and beyond to be engaged in the organization, focus on continuous improvement, provide excellent care to patients and role model the Pine Rest mission.
Elm Unit psych tech Dempsey Willett has dedicated many years to Pine Rest, consistently demonstrating a strong work ethic that helps guide her team through successful shifts. Her commitment to creating a calm and therapeutic environment is evident in her thoughtful touches, from decorating patient whiteboards with colorful doodles to ensuring the unit remains clean and organized for better staff workflow.
Dempsey was recently promoted to lead psych tech on Elm. Through this new role, she will have the chance to continue prioritizing patient care and support her team in any way possible. We are deeply grateful for her many valuable contributions!
Julie Towers – Psych Tech Mentor of the Year
Recognizing a tech who exemplifies accountability, excellence and teamwork, supports the growth of both new and seasoned techs, and is respected as a mentor who puts patient care first.
Julie Towers is the evening shift lead tech on the Child & Adolescent Unit where she shows respect, professionalism and compassion in her interactions with staff and patients alike. She warmly welcomes new staff, mentoring and teaching them and often sharing tried-and-true tips and tricks she has learned throughout her years at Pine Rest. Julie is also extremely knowledgeable, understanding and diligent when it comes to prioritizing patient safety.
Julie is an exceptional leader and role model for her fellow psych techs, and consistently provides outstanding care to her patients. We extend our deepest thanks to Julie for her remarkable dedication and invaluable contributions!
