Over 300 lbs Excess Rx Collected During Drug Take Back Day

May 12, 2022

5/12/22 – The West Michigan Drug Take Back effort on April 30 was a great success! With the help of our partners at Spectrum Health, Priority Health, Families Against Narcotics and the Kent County Sheriff’s Office Opioid Task Force, we collected a total of 304 lbs of unused/unwanted/expired prescription medications at eight locations for safe and secure disposal.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to this effort to help keep our communities safe, including our volunteers Lisa Zwerk, CSM, Michele Colby, RN and Chris Marshall, RN-CSM who spearheaded Pine Rest’s role in this effort!
