We are proud to announce that Harmony Gould, our vice president of hospital & residential services, has been honored by the Michigan Health & Hospital Association (MHA) with a 2024 Healthcare Leadership Award!
Harmony’s leadership has been transformative, both for Pine Rest and the community, and her vision through countless initiatives has been pivotal in addressing critical behavioral healthcare needs over the years. During the pandemic, for example, she led the creation of West Michigan’s only behavioral health unit accepting COVID-19 patients, a project that earned the 2022 MHA Advancing Safe Care Award.
Harmony also established Pine Rest’s Beechwood and Lotus residential programs in response to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services’ call for enhanced adolescent and adult residential care. The Beechwood Unit offers a 12-bed crisis residential program for adults; Lotus provides a 25-bed intensive program for adolescents with complex needs.
Harmony also oversaw the expansion of our Adult Partial Hospitalization Program in response to community demand. Currently she is developing a crisis stabilization unit, which is a new license in Michigan stemming from her involvement with the MHA’s Behavioral Health Integration Council. She is also a member of our Pediatric Center Oversight team, working toward opening the state’s first-ever Pediatric Center of Behavioral Health in 2026.
We congratulate Harmony on this prestigious award and wish to take this opportunity to express our gratitude for her outstanding contributions to mental health care! To learn more, please visit the MHA website.
