Free event on May 6 introduces students to $40,000 scholarship opportunity through the Pine Rest Nursing Academy and a promising career path in mental health nursing.
Pine Rest is hosting Forks and Futures on Tuesday, May 6, a free event where prospective nursing students and their supporters can get a firsthand look at the Pine Rest Academy for Nursing Students and learn how they can receive up to $40,000 in tuition assistance.
The Academy is a one-of-a-kind program that provides financial support, mentorship and a clear career path in mental health nursing. Students accepted into the Academy can receive up to $40,000 in tuition assistance in return for committing to work at Pine Rest for at least two years after earning their Michigan nursing license.
Forks and Futures includes a complimentary dinner for each student and up to two guests — such as parents, mentors, friends, or other supporters — followed by an engaging program and campus tour. Attendees will explore Pine Rest’s 220-acre campus and state-of-the-art facilities, and hear from nursing leaders about the Academy’s benefits and career opportunities.

The event starts at 6:00 p.m. at the Postma Center on Pine Rest’s main campus, located at 300 68th Street SE in Grand Rapids.
