The non-profit organization i understand love heals, Project #EAS, and the Spitler family, will host their 3rd annual blanket drive this holiday season for Pine Rest patients in memory of Eric Spitler.
Now through January 2, 2025, anyone can donate a new, unused blanket to one of several drop-off locations around Grand Rapids. On January 3, the blankets will be delivered to Pine Rest as comforting gifts for patients who are being discharged after experiencing a mental health crisis.
This drive is being made in memory of local father Eric Spitler, who tragically lost his life to suicide in 2021. Eric’s family have made it their mission to save lives one blanket at a time.
