Hillary Kosik, RN, Nominated for National DAISY Award

Hillary Kosik, RN, Nominated for National DAISY Award

April 27, 2021

Congratulations to Hillary Kosik, RN, who was recently nominated for the DAISY Foundation’s 2021 DAISY National Award for Extraordinary Nurses in Patient Safety, presented in collaboration with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI).

Hillary is a nurse on Pine Rest’s Hickory Unit. Although she was not among the three nurses/nursing teams selected as national award winners, the nomination itself is an incredible distinction, and she was honored at the IHI National Congress.

Hillary’s story of compassion, care and professional excellence was chosen from among many nominations submitted by participating organizations as especially worthy of recognition.

Pine Rest’s Chief Nurse Executive, Dr. Gretchen Johnson, DNP, RN-BC, stated that she and HRS Director of Nursing, Lori Ann Huegel, RN, submitted Hillary for consideration for the national award “to honor her personal commitment to patient and workforce safety in the delivery of compassionate care for patients and families.”

We’re so proud that she was recognized!”
