Our Veterans Group is designed to provide a blend of education, group therapy techniques, and guided self-exploration to address the impact of military life on those who have served. This group will guide veterans through the process of gaining a deeper knowledge of the unique and nuanced ways in which their time in the military has influenced their lives. Topics include impact of culture during formative years, stigma surrounding service, values exploration, building supports, impact on family and self, guilt and shame, moral injury, restorative practices, and more.
This group is ideal and open for any former service member regardless of time served, deployments, or branch.
Meetings: Classes will be held in-person at the Caledonia Clinic, weekly, on Thursdays from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. Participants are welcome to join any time.
Registration: No referrals needed. But interested participants must first contact group facilitator and therapist Abby Phillips at our Caledonia Clinic 616.891.8770 to determine eligibility and to register.
