This presentation will explain the differences between contracting for safety and safety planning and review the six key components of the evidence-based Stanley-Brown Safety Plan. Dr. Edwards will briefly review research supporting collaborative safety planning for suicide prevention, including factors that impact the effectiveness of safety plans in preventing suicide.
