Epic’s mobile apps keep you connected with your patients, your practice and your clinical colleagues—wherever you are—24/7.
Haiku is Epic’s mobile app for the iPhone® and Android®. Canto is the mobile app for the iPad®. These three apps give Pine Rest clinicians secure and portable access to:
- Patient charts
- Schedules
- Secure text messaging to colleagues
Whether you are at work, at home or any location with an internet connection, accessing your patients’ information is easy and convenient.
These mobile device applications are only available to the following parties who have clinical privileges at Pine Rest and who are qualified by Pine Rest policy to access Epic information.
- Physicians – Attendings, Fellows, Residents (Haiku and Canto)
- Advanced practice providers (Haiku and Canto)
- Clinical pharmacists (Haiku and Canto)
- Pharmacy technicians (Haiku and Canto)
Installation & Configuration
There are three steps to add and use Haiku or Canto on your iPhone, iPad or Android device.
Step 1. Install Haiku or Canto.
Download and install one of these apps to your smart phone or tablet by choosing the appropriate device link below.
Haiku for iPhone® app
Works on the iPhone-iOS version 16.0 or later and Android 6.0 or greater.
Haiku for Android® app
Works on the iPhone-iOS version 16.0 or later and Android 6.0 or greater.
Canto for iPad® app
Works on the iPad-iOS version 6.0 or greater.
Step 2. Configure the App.
Once you’ve downloaded Haiku or Canto, click this link from your device and choose the appropriate selection to configure your app. Then, you will be prompted to enter your access password.*
Step 3: Open Haiku or Canto on your device.
Once you’ve configured your device, open your Haiku or Canto app and log in using your Pine Rest credentials.
*For the access password requests, questions and support, submit a FreshService request (network access required).
