West Michigan Walgreens Is Holding A Diaper Drive, May 5-11

Area Walgreens stores are holding a Diaper Drive for Pine Rest’s Mother and Baby Program during the week of May 5. The Pine Rest program is a new short-term, intensive, day treatment program for women experiencing Perinatal Mood Disorders. Only the second of its kind in the country, mothers are able to bring their baby with them to improve mother and baby bonding.

The Diaper Drive will help Pine Rest stock the nursery and use them to share with moms in need. Walgreens has a special offer the week of May 5, buy one pack of Walgreens diapers at full price and get the second packet half off. Collection boxes are near the store entrances.

Several of the Walgreens in the West Michigan region are participating with the Cutlerville store manager Stu Bellant organizing the drive: Big Rapids (1), Cutlerville (1), Grand Rapids (7), Greenville (1), Holland (4), Ionia (1), Kentwood (2), Lowell, (1), South Haven (1), and Wyoming (1).

When you go to Walgreens the week of May 5, take a minute to Make a Mother’s Day and buy some diapers. If you or someone you love is suffering from postpartum depression, get help; call 800-678-5500.
