Exploring Recovery For Adults
Focus of this adult recovery group will be on encouraging each other to remain sober and clean along with implementing strategies for recovery techniques. Some psychoeducation will occur as well.
Eating Disorders in Children and Adolescents
Natalie Prohaska, M.D., is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Pediatrics at the University of Michigan and the Medical Director of the Comprehensive Eating Disorders Program. Dr. Prohaska is a licensed child and adolescent psychiatrist, and her clinical and research activities are focused on eating disorders.
“A Cannabinoid Hypothesis of Schizophrenia: Pathways to Psychosis”
Dr. Dale DeMello’s work on the adult inpatient psychiatry unit at Sparrow Hospital and in the Navigate Early Psychosis Program in Lansing has increased his awareness of the role of cannabis in the precipitation and perpetuation of psychotic symptoms.
Human Trafficking from a Trauma-Informed Lens
This presentation will be focused on identifying victims of sexual exploitation, effective interventions, and treating victims of sex trafficking.
The Homicidal Patient: Risk Assessment & Duty to Warn
This Pearls For Partners presentation will discuss how to identify risk factors for potentially homicidal or violent patients and address these risk factors to mitigate risk to the community.
