Natalie Prohaska, M.D., is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Pediatrics at the University of Michigan and the Medical Director of the Comprehensive Eating Disorders Program. Dr. Prohaska is a licensed child and adolescent psychiatrist, and her clinical and research activities are focused on eating disorders.

In this presentation we will review what OCD is, how it is maintained, the best treatments available for it, and how to identify it based on the numerous subtypes there are. OCD is the doubting disorder, and it runs on fears of uncertainty. OCD drives people with it to keep feeding it with compulsions under the promise that one day OCD could be satisfied, but it never is. From contamination to pedophilia and from harm to blasphemy, OCD knows no limits to get someone to do its bidding of constant compulsions.
