The Pediatric Eating Disorders Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is for adolescents aged 12 through high school.  The 6-8-week comprehensive, supportive program provides intensive, structured care 5 days per week where patients receive treatment during the day and return to their homes after programming. The PHP is tailored to address the unique needs of each patient through a combination of medical, psychological and nutritional support, using a holistic approach that combines mindfulness-based movement and food education. With our innovative approach, we anticipate sustainable outcomes that reduce the potential for relapse.

Our treatment team includes experienced psychiatrists, therapists, registered dietitians, occupational therapists and medical professionals as well as support staff.

We utilize evidence-based practices to ensure that our interventions are effective and aligned with the latest research in eating disorder treatment.

We emphasize the importance of family support and offer educational and therapeutic sessions to help families better understand and assist in the recovery process. Joining your child for breakfast a couple times a week and engaging in weekly family meetings is a vital part of the service.

Services

Services are provided by a multi-disciplinary treatment team specifically trained in child and adolescent eating disorders. The program includes meetings with a psychiatrist upon admission and at scheduled times before or after the program day.

Patients will also meet individually with a general medical provider, dietician, occupational therapists as well as their therapist. These professionals will work together with the patient and the rest of the multidisciplinary team to establish treatment goals, strategies and a comprehensive aftercare plan.
