Vickie is a Licensed Master of Social Work with over 22 years of experience. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Missouri in 1977.
She enjoyed working in the Juvenile Justice System and Adult Protective Services until 1981 when she had the opportunity to stay home for the next 10 years and begin raising her four children. Vickie earned her Master of Social Work degree from Grand Valley State University in 1991.
Her subsequent professional experience includes working with children, adolescents, adults and families in the school system, health clinic, home and outpatient setting. Vickie frequently uses several kinds of therapy – play, sand, art and bibliotherapy – in an effort to connect with people and make treatment a more enjoyable experience. She has a genuine interest and compassion for people of all cultures and belief systems.
