“Modernity seems to promise us answers and solutions to everything, but I don’t think that’s true. When I look at the world today, I see more people spending more time in ‘social spaces’ but feeling lonelier. It’s easier to get more answers to more questions yet feel less informed and hungry for wisdom. We are encouraged to ‘get help’ but often don’t know where to start. Well, I humbly believe it starts with having real conversations, about real topics, with real people. I hope that you feel comfortable bringing whoever you are, however, you are, to our sessions to talk about whatever is most on your mind. Sometimes being able to better identify and name these things with someone else is the most helpful part. Together, we can take a courageous look into our lives and, with humor and grace, retell our stories to better make sense of what we have experienced. Therapy will address what you bring to it and will be tailored specifically to your wants and needs.”

Tim values collaboratively exploring the events of our lives, the thoughts we have about those events, and the ways we respond to them. He works with individuals, couples and families, tailoring therapy to the modality that best suits your needs. You can expect therapy to be graciously honest as we search for insights and new approaches to help us close the gap between where we are and where we want to be.

Tim borrows from many different therapeutic techniques and models but mostly utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Tim is a fully licensed clinical social worker. He has been at Pine Rest since 2012 and has worked at the Zeeland and Grandville locations. He grew up on the east side of Michigan. He received his master’s degree from Grand Valley State University and now calls West Michigan home.

Tim Sayers participates in the Diversity Collective.
