“I find great joy in helping people accomplish goals they once thought too difficult. Whether it’s learning to better control your emotions or navigating challenging relationships, change can be overwhelming and often scary, but it is possible. Starting therapy is the first brave step. My goal is to help guide you on this journey, creating a safe and welcoming environment for you to explore new life paths, wherever they may lead.”
Taylor welcomes his clients into an accepting and open atmosphere where they are free to be themselves without fear of being judged, and where it’s safe to ask questions and talk about difficult topics. Taylor helps his clients make tangible progress by working alongside them to identify areas they would like to change while remaining focused on their strengths and what makes them unique. Therapy sessions involve building a relationship based on trust and understanding, but each session will also provide clients and families with practical tools they can put to use each week.
Taylor utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) based interventions to help challenge the thoughts and feelings that are at the heart of many clients’ behaviors. With emphasis on relationship building, he takes a Person-Centered approach that focuses on helping his clients learn the tools and gain the confidence needed to achieve their goals. Taylor also utilizes Expressive Therapy, encouraging the use of art, music, writing, play and more to help clients process difficult emotions in healthy and fun ways.
Taylor’s clients can expect to learn new tools for managing difficult emotions and situations. Sessions include learning and practicing strategies to challenge current thought patterns and approach problems in new ways. Taylor works with his clients to build a treatment plan customized to their unique needs while highlighting the positive progress they make along the way.
