“Helping people has always been my true passion. I believe that every person deserves the opportunity to heal, grow and become the fullest version of themselves. I view therapy as a powerful tool for uncovering the patterns, thoughts and beliefs that may be holding us back—and creating space for meaningful change. I’m honored to walk alongside my clients on their journey toward clarity, healing and purpose.”

Susan views therapy through a holistic lens, believing that healing is most effective when we address the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. She creates a warm and supportive environment where clients feel safe, understood and encouraged to engage in honest self-reflection. Susan is especially passionate about working with adults who are seeking healing and are ready to explore the underlying patterns contributing to emotional distress. She works collaboratively with clients, helping them identify their goals and equipping them with tools to move forward.

Susan integrates a range of therapeutic approaches to support her clients, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), supportive therapy, and holistic counseling techniques. She also incorporates elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and psychodynamic perspectives to help clients explore core beliefs and align their actions with personal values. These approaches are especially effective in helping clients manage symptoms of depression, anxiety, grief, ADHD, and life transitions by building self-awareness, emotional regulation, and practical coping strategies.

Clients working with Susan can expect sessions that are compassionate, insightful and tailored to their individual needs. Sessions may involve open discussion, reflection, and goal setting, as well as learning strategies to navigate daily challenges. Susan encourages active participation and self-exploration, empowering clients to gain greater insight into their thoughts and behaviors. Together, she and her clients track progress, celebrate growth and continually adapt the therapeutic process to support lasting change.

Susan is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been working in the mental health field since 2015. She earned her Master’s degree in counseling from Cornerstone University after completing her undergraduate education at the University of Phoenix. She has worked with a wide range of adult clients, with clinical experience in treating depression, anxiety, ADHD, grief, mid-life transitions, and women’s issues. Susan brings compassion, insight and dedication to her work, meeting each client where they are and supporting them as they move toward healing and wholeness.

Susan Finfrock participates in the Diversity Collective.
