“As a certified psychiatric physician associate (PA-C), I am passionate about creating a safe and supportive environment where individuals feel comfortable expressing themselves. I aim to improve the well-being of those I work with, supporting them in their journey to improved mental and emotional health through multiple modalities including education, collaboration and medication management.”

Sophia believes in working closely with patients to understand their unique needs, preferences and goals, fostering an open and trusting relationship. She integrates evidence-based practices to provide high quality psychiatric care. She values a holistic approach, considering not just the clinical aspects of mental health and medications, but also lifestyle, wellness, medical conditions/comorbidities and personal growth.

Sophia conducts comprehensive psychiatric evaluations. This includes diagnosing mental health disorders and developing personalized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and other healthcare team members. She prescribes and manages psychiatric medications, monitors treatment progress and adjusts care plans as needed.

Sophia earned her master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Mary Baldwin University-Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences. To further her proficiency in psychiatric care she completed an additional two-year residency program though Pine Rest. Sophia is certified PA-C through The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She is currently pursuing a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Psychiatry through the NCCPA.
