Sierra Elliott, LMSW
Sierra is a fully Licensed Clinical Social Worker at the Pine Rest Northeast Clinic. She received her Bachelor’s in psychology and her Master’s in social work from Grand Valley State University.
Before coming to Pine Rest, Sierra worked in the community mental health system, specifically with children and families in the school and home environment. Her previous work experience includes providing individual therapy, case management and crisis stabilization. She has expertise in a variety of diagnoses including, but not limited to, adjustment disorders, anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, and gender identity issues.
Sierra utilizes various therapeutic modalities including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, play therapy, and mindfulness techniques. She uses a strengths-based and person-centered approach with all of her clients. Sierra supports her clients in identifying their goals, building upon the strengths and skills they already possess, learning skills to adapt to life’s challenges, and making the steps towards long lasting positive change. Sierra strives to create a safe and supportive environment conducive to a collaborative working experience and believes all therapy should be based on the principles of unconditional positive regard and empathic understanding. Sierra is eager to help all of her patients achieve their personal goals.
