Shannon Drabek, MS, Temporary Limited Licensed Psychologist
Shannon earned her Bachelor of Science in psychology, with minors in chemistry and biology, from Mercer University. She continued on to earn her Master of Science in health psychology and is currently a doctoral candidate in clinical psychology.
Shannon received rigorous training in assessment and psychotherapy via various private practice and hospital settings. She helped treat a broad range of mental health diagnoses in individuals across the lifespan. During her time spent in these locations, she focused her work primarily on the pediatric population, with main presenting diagnoses of autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disorder, conduct disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, anxiety, and depression.
Shannon gained extensive experience in assessing and treating individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders and she ultimately completed her doctoral dissertation entitled, “Parental Coping in Children Recently Diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder: A Stellar Intervention.” She added proficiency in directly implementing and treating behavioral issues during her time spent as a credentialed registered behavior technician. Shannon operates heavily from a family systems approach and pulls from play, cognitive and behavioral theories.
In her spare time, Shannon enjoys exploring the great outdoors with her husband and their daughter.
