“I am a down-to-earth mental health therapist who believes that healing is most effective when it’s a true collaboration between therapist and client. Rather than telling my clients what to do, I create a warm, collaborative, supportive space where my clients feel heard, understood and encouraged to take an active role in their therapeutic journey. I believe in working closely and compassionately with clients to develop practical and realistic skills that lead to meaningful, lasting change.”
Specializing in depression, anxiety, substance abuse/addictions, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and trauma, Sarah combines evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to tailor treatment to each individual’s unique needs. With this diverse toolkit, she addresses both the root causes of their struggles and the symptoms they experience. By working together, she and her clients identify goals, explore challenges and develop personalized strategies to make lasting changes. The goal is to create sustainable change through the use of tools that feel both accessible and applicable to the client’s unique circumstances.
Sarah takes an empathic, collaborative approach that respects the client’s expertise in their own life while offering guidance and tools to address difficult emotions, intrusive thoughts and past trauma. The therapeutic process is viewed as a partnership, where both therapist and client work side-by-side to create tangible progress, build resilience and develop practical coping skills.
