Sarah is a fully licensed clinical social worker who began working as an outpatient therapist for Pine Rest in February 2016. She earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees in social work from Western Michigan University. She graduated from the advanced standing program in 2002.
Prior to coming to Pine Rest, Sarah worked for approximately 6 years as a home based therapist in Kent County. Other previous experience includes working as a therapist in a child and adolescent residential treatment center and working as a social worker for 7 years in the United Kingdom.
Sarah particularly enjoys working with young people. Her areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), sexual, physical, and/or emotional abuse, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), behavior problems, family conflict and parenting.
