Sara is a limited licensed psychologist who started working at Pine Rest in July 2007. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in History and Social Science from Cedarville University, and Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College. Sara has experience working as a junior high school teacher and working inpatient psych as a group and psychoeducation therapist. She enjoys using psychoeducation in her therapy sessions, to help adults understand their symptoms and build self-awareness.
Sara works with adults who experience depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, spiritual issues and family issues. She also does family therapy. Sara’s primary methods of treatment include CBT, ACT & Mindfulness
Sara enjoys running, camping, hiking, watching HGTV and spending time with her family. She participates with Faith Community Outreach, an initiative within Pine Rest that seeks to connect area clergy, churches, and ministries to services available from Pine Rest; as well as develop new services specifically designed to benefit the faith community.
