“I became a therapist because I believe in the importance of meeting people where they are. Change is a deeply personal journey, and I am passionate about helping individuals navigate that journey in a way that feels right for them—not based on external pressures or expectations. My goal is to create a warm, supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their challenges, build on their strengths and move forward at their own pace.”

Clients working with Sara can expect a compassionate, individualized approach tailored to their unique needs and goals. She works with adolescents and adults (ages 13+), ensuring that each person feels heard, validated and empowered in their therapeutic process. Sara believes in fostering a collaborative and gentle environment, where clients can gain insight, develop coping strategies and make meaningful changes without pressure or judgment.

Sara utilizes a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to best support her clients. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Strengths-Based Therapy. As a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC), Sara has specialized expertise in substance use treatment and also works with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions and personal growth.

Sara Schimpke is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC).
