Sabrina Haverdink uses a trauma-informed approach to mental health care with individuals seeking counseling to overcome a single traumatic event (car accident, loss of a loved one, divorce), developmental, and/or complex trauma (abuse, neglect). She earned a bachelor’s degree from Hope College in 1992 and is a master-level graduate of the school of social work (GSSW) from the University of Denver with a Limited License. Her passion is co-collaborating with individuals who have experienced trauma to instill hope that leads to felt safety, self-regulation and overall restored health.

Sabrina’s areas of expertise and treatment interest include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), women’s interpersonal issues, trauma-related issues including PTSD, Acute Stress Disorder (ASD), Secondhand Trauma, and Vicarious Trauma. Additionally, Sabrina journeys with adults living with anxiety, and/or depression, and grief and loss.

Sabrina participates with Faith Community Outreach, an initiative within Pine Rest that seeks to connect area clergy, churches, and ministries to services available from Pine Rest; as well as develop new services specifically designed to benefit the faith community.

Sabrina compassionately invites individuals to bring their beliefs into each session to process and overcome personal spiritual abuse(s), address obstacles to having a fulfilling spiritual life, define desired areas of growth, and learn how to freely live a life of faith.
