Ruth takes an approach to care that is collaborative, compassionate and grounded in evidence-based practice. She works closely with each individual to create a treatment plan that align with their values, goals and unique experiences. She believes in transparency and helps patients make informed choices by clearly explaining all options and involving them in the decision-making process. She also emphasizes the importance of lifestyle interventions to support mental health and finding the right balance in treatment with medication. Her goal is to create a supportive environment in which patients feel respected and empowered to advocate for their well-being.
Ruth earned her Bachelor of Science and Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Grand Valley State University. She has completed additional training through the Advanced Practice Provider Psychiatry Training Program at Pine Rest to strengthen her understanding of psychiatric care and better support her patients. Ruth is a certified physician assistant through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
