Richard Maier, MA, LPC, CAADC
Rich is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. As a therapist, Rich has helped people with substance use and mental health concerns in residential, intensive outpatient and outpatient settings through individual and group counseling. Rich is also a military veteran, both enlisted and officer, and most recently served two years supporting soldier well-being in the U.S. Army Chaplain Corp.
Rich’s educational background includes a Master of Arts in Counseling from Cornerstone University and a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies (Systematic Theology) from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary.
Rich has also studied in Western Michigan University’s Specialty Program of Alcohol and Drug Abuse. Other educational achievements include a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting with Honors from Davenport University.
Rich is a native to Grand Rapids, and is married with three children. He enjoys pursuing a deeper relationship with God, being an engaged husband and father, and cultivating his burgeoning chess game.
