Rebecca is a fully licensed Master Level Social worker at Pine Rest. She has worked with children, adolescents, teens, young adults and their families since 2015. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and her Masters of Social Work from University of Maryland School of Social Work.
Rebecca’s main areas of interest and expertise are in the fields of anxiety, OCD and phobias. During therapy sessions, Rebecca works with you (and your child) to help teach you both the skills needed to manage, squash or move on from anxious or intrusive thoughts, now and long after you end your time together.
Rebecca incorporates a variety of treatment interventions, including: CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and Cognitive Restructuring, CBT and EXRP (Exposure and Ritual Prevention), and Inference-Based CBT. She also enjoys working with parents to equip them with the skills to handle their child’s big emotions and teach their child emotional regulation skills, using effective discipline, gentle parenting techniques, and strategies to help their child accommodate for deficiencies in executive functioning related to ADHD.
