Rachel George, Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Rachel is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She earned a BA in Psychology from Northwestern College in Orange City, IA. She earned her PsyD from Wheaton College Graduate School in 2014. Rachel wrote her dissertation on protective factors to depression in adolescence and is interested in identifying what protective factors clients have in their lives.
Rachel provides counseling for children, adolescents and adults within individual, family and marital sessions. She integrates and draws from several different approaches to meet the needs of her clients. These include family systems, relational psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, and developmental systems. Rachel participates with Faith Community Outreach, an initiative within Pine Rest that seeks to connect area clergy, churches, and ministries to services from Pine Rest as well as develop new services specifically designed to benefit the faith community.
Some treatment areas that Rachel frequently works with include: ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Conflict Resolution, Eating Disorders, Depression, Family Issues, Hopelessness, Identity Concerns, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Marital Concerns, Personality Disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Low Self-Esteem, Self-Injury, and Spiritual Issues. As well as therapy, Rachel provides psychological testing and feedback.
